Designers
needed for Caribbean Fashion Rocks 2008
"With fashion being an integral part of the Caribbean lifestyle, 'Caribbean Rock 2008' is the perfect platform for designers to showcase their creativity and love for fashion through design" event coordinator Syn Dawkins disclosed. Contestants will be judged by a panel of judges for this preliminary qualification showing on March 29th at an undisclosed location. Fashion designers and hair stylist will present their top 5 looks on the pre-qualifying date. Once selected, fashion designers will present 10 runway looks and hair designer 10 styles at the fashion finale. The expectations are high for Caribbean Fashion Rocks -- event creators are anticipating an impressive turn out and are working meticulously to create a runway show in line with seventh on sixth in New York and haute couture shows in Paris. The competition is dedicated to inspiring creativity and confidence among its diverse audience and flips the traditional fashion show model, giving participants total artistic control. Applicants will be in the running for a career jumpstart with the winner taking home various prizes and surprises. Caribbean Fashion Rocks will be hosted by DJ Roy & Spread Love Bobby (Irie Jam Radio) with music by Road International and Irie Jam's DJ Cali B.
