d'Vybz..... Soca Next Big ThingThe hot new soca group d’Vybz Band, in a just a year has created its own unique sounds that blends soca, calypso, dancehall and hip-hop, securing it a special place in the Caribbean and world music industry. The bands versatility and fresh approach to soca ensures that it appeals to traditional calypso lovers as well as the reggae, dancehall and hip-hop fans.

Since their debut album during the St.Kitts-Nevis Carnival 2006-07, No Turning Back, d’Vybz has taken the Caribbean, North America and Europe by storm. The eight member band released its 2008 nine track CD, Life, in December 2007, in time for the annual St.Kitts-Nevis Carnival celebrations.

Founded by three close friends, originally from the regionally acclaimed Nu-Vy bes Band, Steve “Steba” Dublin, Carl “Ozzy” Osbourne and Chad “Sucky” Benjamin established d’Vybz Band in November 2006. The other members include the 2003 St.Kitts Soca Monarch and 2005 Nevis Road March Queen Jacinth “Shakki” Smithen, talented Young Drummer Emris “Jay” Forbes, Keyboardists Mervin “Inches” Maynard and the very talented vocalists and producer and songwriter Marquice “Mr. Quice” WILLET.

Their sophomore album, LIFE, features massive St.Kitts-Nevis carnival hits "DJ Play", "Party In The Streets" and the anthem "My Life". The bands highly intoxicating and rhythmic fusion of soca, dancehall and hip-hop comes out in the hits “So Wine” and “What If?” and the raw street jammer “Warrior” have all contributed to the bands meteoric rise on the St.Kitts-Nevis and the Caribbean music scene and it’s positioning to become not only a Caribbean sensation but also an international music phenomenon.
