Las Estrellas, under the direction of Jessica Rodriguez & Amber Rawls, has teamed up with Brandon Pittam Photography in the fight against breast cancer. With the help of some of the hottest salseras in the Philadelphia area, they've put together the first of it's kind "pin-up" calendar in support of Breast cancer awareness and research. A portion of all calendar proceeds will be donated to the local breast cancer foundation for research. The 2010 calendar features the ladies of Las Estrellas, Calle Luna, Calle Sol, Art In Motion, Arte Soneros, Ahi-Nama & Mambodelphia and is set to be released on 10/23/09. Calendars are just $20!!!! There will be a calendar signing party at La Luna Dance Studio on Friday 10/23, along with debut performances of all 3 La Luna teams! Very nice venue on the water, no smooth dance floor but that does not stop dancers
from getting down to the bands who can sometimes play long songs. The venue is
very well attended, the dance floor can be packed running a close second to Wednesday
night Brazils. Barbara Capaldi teaches Beginner-Intermediate level Salsa

Event Description: DANCING WITH OUR STARS! Rub elbows with competitive
DanceSport Champions from all over the world! The DanceSport Academy hosts bi-weekly
dance socials which are open to the public. Dance parties are an integral part
of our programs. They provide a low-pressure setting for students to practice
steps and techniques on which they have been working. The group is very supportive
and welcoming to all who attend. Free parking down the street. Drinks and hors
d'oeuvres. Gorgeous, Latin-inspired venue.
