Last year’s event was so good that we bring you a follow up to ‘De NUTS’ party this year, and boy will we be going NUTS all over again!

No matter what your heyday, we'll be going through the tunes that had us all bouncing off the walls in our early years of clubbing! Added to our usual DJ line up is Big Tunes, aka Damian George, who will be doing a set along with Gladiators Sound, DJ Markee and guests. You can look out for nuff back in times mixed up with some modern in the main room, and the club lounge specialising in the nostalgic – Old Soca, Rockers, Upper Level House (remember Adrian don Mora?), Rap (Before it was Hip Hop), 80’s Pop (remember when MTV first came out?)

Be sure to come early for our complimentary goodies we'll be giving away before 11pm only fancy dressers get this though. In keeping with the theme we'll be dressing up in the treads we used to wear back in the day, maybe even before...

The burger/corn soup man for this event will not be outside but rather upstairs in the laid back lounge area just a few steps from all the action... It won’t be Sharky or Smithy but we’ve done better! De Four Caterers will have it all coved, burgers of all types (even shark), corn soup and some of the usual favourites.

Be sure to either get on the guest list or procure your VIP tickets for priority entrance

The AroniAwards Gala launched in 2006 is named after Aron Haile, and honours those individuals who have contributed positively to the community, and ‘inspire’ others to reach for the stars.

2009 ARONI AWARDEES

The 2009 AroniMAGE awards will be presented to Jermaine Bagnall (Media/Sports), Schools Without Borders (Organization), Big it Up (Entrepreneurship), Thando Hyman—Aman (Education), Mitzie Hunter (Community). The 2009 AroniAwards Education scholarships will be presented to Aman Y. Sultan, Troy Knights and Chante Barnwell.

OUR INSPIRATION

The Aroni Awards Gala is a charity Gala created in honor of Aron Y. Haile as he was exemplary in creating opportunities for people in diverse backgrounds. Aron Y. Haile, an African Canadian who died in 2003, at the young age of 30, was an accomplished student, entrepreneur, software developer, event planner, theater arts enthusiast and adventurer. His willingness to mentor gave him an avenue to forge many meaningful relations while giving back to his community. Aron believed that you should help those with good character who are applying positive effort to further advance themselves forward despite the obstacles. In December, 2003 while on holidays from his role as a software developer at BMO, his short yet fulfilled life ended in a vehicular accident in Eritrea (East Africa.).
