Many in Jamaica’s tight-knit Reggae fraternity agree that King Ali Baba is one of the countries unsung hero’s!

Born in Clarendon, Jamaica, and raised in Spanish Town, King Ali Baba has made a successful career out of music, and has concentrated his efforts outside of Jamaica, namely in Europe.  In 2009, Ali Baba toured Europe extensively, and toured Switzerland, England, Germany and the Netherlands.  His recorded and released singles “One Pretty Gyal” and “Rock Ma Boat” on the PopShop / Universal label produced by Will Simms has received extensive radio play throughout Europe, Australia and Asia.  Both songs are available on i-Tunes, and all leading online digital retailers.

What’s more, when called to participate in a movie to raise funds for the ‘Fruit of Our Children’ charity based in New Zealand, King Ali Baba welcomed the call by recording the hit single “Judgement Day” on the After Effection Riddim.  100% of the proceeds from the sale of the soundtrack was donated to the organization because, as the King says, “whatever I can do to help, I will.  Music is natural for me, so I’m honored to give this organization my voice.”

Taking his brand, and thousands of fans on a musical ride, King Ali Baba keeps visitors entertained on his myspace page (www.myspace.com/1kingalibaba), which has earned him the ranking of 3rd on the music portals unsigned charts, which sees Tanya Stephens ranked #1, and Barrington Levy who ranks #2.

As 2010 begins, King Ali Baba notes that the past year (2009) has been memorable.  Being invited as a special guest on the Reggae Nation Festival in Germany (proceeds go to the ‘United For Africa’ campaign) was a highlight.  For this venture, King Ali Baba recorded “Blood and Tears” for the festival’s charity album.  Additional highlights include the recording of the chune “Tippy Wine” on the Red Snake Riddim, and “Out There.”  The song “Out There” was produced by Mistake Mistake, and was released in video format.  The video, garnering much attention, transforms the King to an animated character, and is a play on the space-age movie Odyssey 2001.  The video was premiered on MTV Adria (which broadcasts to Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Macedonia) to rave reviews, and has been added to rotation.  (View the Video for "Out There" here)

2010 will see the marketing and promotion of the Electro-Reggae chune “Party” featuring P. Man and Danny Who produced by TraceMark/Cool Sound.
