It’s countdown time for voters to have their say in the artistes lineup for International Caribbean Reggae Music Festival (ICM FEST) which is slated to be held on its original pre-thanksgiving weekend on Sunday, November 16 at the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park in Key Biscayne, Miami,  Florida.

Voting will come to a close on Sunday, September 14 at 12:00 midnight. The promoters are urging everyone to vote. “This is all about giving the people what they want. We enjoy this kind of interaction from our patrons and will be going all out to ensure that they are totally satisfied,” Delroy Escoffery said.   The organizer also expressed thanks to all those who have been “voting like crazy” to ensure that their favorite artistes make the final cut.  After the votes have been tallied and negotiations completed with those artistes that voters requested the most, the anticipated lineup for the festival will be released.

ICM Fest has experienced a lot of positive changes since its inception in 1997 as a family fun day, when it was originally billed as the "Reggae Bash" and held at the AT&T Amphitheatre, with a lineup that is still being talked about today. Among the artistes that graced the stage were Sean Paul (his first major show in the States), Lady Saw, Beenie Man, Tanto Metro, Capleton, Sanchez, Richie Stephens, General Degree and Spragga Benz just to name a few.

ICMFEST offers their deepest condolence to Spragga and his family with the recent tragic loss of his son.  Sleep with angels Carlton “Carlie” Grant. May your soul rest in peace.

This festival attracts patrons from far and wide and with that in mind, negotiations for the best travel and hotel packages are currently being made. For further info, please go to www.icmfest.com or call (305)359-3445 or Email anchorscoff@yahoo.com.
