Bringing an Art, Design and Fashion aesthetic to the tradition of Carnival Masquerade, ELEMEN Mas is the debut Carnival initiative of the Manhattan based Multimedia Production and Creative Design team, ELEMEN Productions.

Fully designed and led by past Ebony 104.1fm & 96.1WEfm Radio Personality and Creative Designer,  Lisa Nicholls, ELEMEN Mas enters the Trinidadian Kiddies Carnival arena for 2009 with its first full scale presentation.

Entitled "Thru My Island Eyes" , the All Inclusive, 'fantasy themed' rendering of hope and positivity as seen through the imagined eyes of a child unfolds into a colourful, 12 section band. (view full flyer)

Nicholls, who refined her talents at Parsons The New School for Design (New York), sees ELEMEN Mas as an avenue through which "avant-garde elements can be brought into the craft of making Mas' and the ritual of playing Mas'. "

Drawing from a deep love of traditional & experimental Fashion/Costume design, Nicholls and the ELEMEN Mas team seeks to bring these influences together in this debut presentation, and in forthcoming ones.

Putting an extra focus on ensuring that young masqueraders fully enjoy their Kiddies Carnival experience, ELEMEN Mas will be introducing an All Inclusive Service that provides all members with necessities such as a Mobile Refreshment & First Aid Stations, on-the-road DJ, Free Carnival Makeup, Free Costume Adjustments & Alterations, and Full Care and Security.

ELEMEN Mas' Kiddies C2k9 Presentation of "Thru My Island Eyes" is conveniently located at 'The WoodSpace', in St James, Trinidad, and there will be a Public Band Room opening in early October, 2008. Costume registration has already begun on the band's website,

The interactive website for the kid's band offers secure, credit card e-registration  for parents to fully purchase costumes or register their children online with ELEMEN Mas.

"We've decided to launch our site first, giving potential masqueraders and supporters an opportunity to familiarize themselves with ELEMEN Mas and our theme for 2009. We've made the site a fully interactive portal, where registered users can get constant updates and information via our Members forum and pages, our newsletters, join our facebook group, play online games, and of course, register to play Mas' with us!"
