Carivog International is delighted to be hosting the debut  UK performance of the leading Caribbean R&B soca vocal group, H2O Phlo, on Saturday 20 September 2008.  With many thanks to Caribbean Airlines, the Caribbean based airline, this R&B soca group from Trinidad & Tobago will be performing at the 6th Miss Trinidad & Tobago Pageant and Cultural Show, at the Bloomsbury Theatre (www.thebloomsbury.com), London.

With hit singles such as: “A little closer”, “Party with you”, “Come Baby”, “High on the Dancefloor” and “One Dance”, H2O Phlo won the Best Soca Group Award at the 2004 Soca Awards, New York.  The group’s members are still on a high from performing at the 2006 World Cup as part of the cultural contingent representing Trinidad & Tobago in Germany, supporting the national team, Soca Warriors.  Today, they are well-known for their sweet harmonies and smooth soca grooves, making them a firm favourite with fans between the ages of two and 92 alike.

Together for the past 15 years, these four young men met whilst sheltering from tropical style rain (Port-of-Spain, Trinidad) and came together to form H2O.  After a performance at the National Stadium, a chance remark, “You’ll sing as smooth as water flows” resulted in H2O becoming H2O Phlo.  Since then, H2O Phlo has gone on to perform at concerts featuring Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, James Ingram, Lionel Richie, Michael Bolton, Peabo Bryson, Sean Paul, Shaggy, T.L.C., The Fugees, Usher and Ziggy Marley, just to name a few.

In 2000, H2O Phlo performed the National Anthem of the United States at two major N.B.A.events (Madison Square Garden, and the Continental Airline Arena) – one of five selected, out of 300 auditioned artists; a great honour, considering these young men are from the twin island nation of Trinidad & Tobago.  In 2004 and 2005, they won Best Soca Group and in 2007, competed in the World Championship of Performing Arts in Hollywood, California, where they walked away with the gold (World Music) and silver medals (Original Music).

H2O Phlo extends their gratitude to their fans for the love and support they have received time and time again. They are working on their new album, which record labels are eagerly awaiting.  H2O Phlo promises “the best is yet to come!” as they continue to strive to put their music on the world stage in a big way...and represent the red, white and black (colours of the flag of Trinidad & Tobago) to the fullest.
