Port-Of-Spain, Trinidad (Sonique Solutions) –Two of Trinidad and Tobago’s popular, vibrant television and radio personalities discuss their accomplishments during this hectic festival season as well as their proud affiliation with T&T’s top mobile network Bmobile.

Shal Marshal has certainly seen much success this season. On a regular basis he holds down double duty as a radio announcer on 96.1 WEFM and as a television host of Synergy TV’s “Friday Night Live”. However, Carnival 2010 saw the diligent media star soaring to new career heights with the release of his Soca smash hit “Police”.

The song written by Kernal Roberts and Tichard Barrington and featuring the vocals of fellow artiste Screws has put Shal in a new category of entertainment superiority and has secured him a spot in finals of the Bmobile Blackberry International Soca Monarch. For this, Shal intends to put his best foot forward in his quest to either win or achieve a high placement in the competition.

As Shal continues to grow from strength to strength he reflects on his association with Bmobile and states that their relationship has always been a mutually supportive one and due to his recent success he now has to the opportunity to harvest and display the fruits of their belief and faith in him. In his own words, “Bmobile is the greatest, they’ve always been in support of local culture and they’ve brought the global element into Carnival”!

No stranger to the media is the incomparable Sunny Bling of the Boom Champions 94.1FM. The man known for his very unique and often physical sense of humour also experienced career triumph for Carnival 2k10 by being appointed as MC of the Bmobile School Tour.

Sunny admitted that this role of School Tour host has been something he had dreamed of achieving ever since the days when he simply was part of the decorations team for the event. This constant entertainer considers this new accolade as part of his growth process and he shared, “It’s a continuous joy to be doing this, to be seeing the joy of the school children and to know that the Soca artistes are still coming out to support this cause”.

When asked about his relationship with Bmobile and their contribution to T&T’s culture, Sunny offered, “It’s great to be aligned with a Giant who’s heavily involved. You’re sure to see that Green or that B everywhere whether it be the Chutney Monarch, Pan, Soca Monarch, etc. They are supporting every aspect of local entertainment and every event that highlights T&T, big or small, in and out of the Carnival season”. He added that despite the detractors’ comments, Bmobile makes Carnival bigger than it ever was before.

The school tour initiative which is sponsored annually by Bmobile has spawned some of Trinidad and Tobago’s biggest Soca stars and media celebrities.
