After Eclipze, the Fete-a-lot-athon took it to the crib for some at-home libations with the crew.  After that, it was action time again.  One of the main events on the carnival calendar was finally here.  Vale here we come!

We have seen many events over the years go through growing pains as they transition from small/medium sized events to full blown mega fetes.  Vale is no exception.  The one thing Vale has going and probably will always have, is the core crew, the crew that you can find in the same spot, every year, from day one.  So from a vibes perspective, Vale never really skips a beat.  Yeah we miss the good old days of a much more intimate session, but like everything else change is inevitable.

This is still a major get as far as carnival tickets go, and it is still a must do event.  However, the bar has to keep pace and the food should be tasty!! (There were some complaints of some over salty food) This was not a sudden thing; it’s been coming down the pike for the past few years.  So this year when you see Glen in the bar at 5am, get all pumped up and by 8am you can’t even get a Johnnie, you can’t help but get a little frustrated.  This is the main complaint we heard around town this year. Thing about it is ... people will always complain, but they will always have a great time in Vale Breakfast Party!! Year in, year out.. people always leave grumbling and mumbling ... but ask them how many batty they wine on? Ask them how many times they were holding on to the floor dancing? Ask them how many times their hands were in the air? Ask them how many people squeeze dey bamsee? So complain, grumble, mumble and fumble ... is what we people do well ... but have a great time in a party and as JW and Blaze say, Palance in the session ... we do that best!!!!

Nevertheless, yuh really can’t beat a DJ fete on a Sunday morning as you watch the sunrise.  This year Vale partygoers had an extra treat as the "Palance" duo made a guest appearance to mash up the dance!  Oh yeah, one other thing some people ask me to mention... “Hoppy, hush yuh mouth sometimes na man ... jah”.

TJJ would like to thank Heineken for making the live stream possible and much respect for the gazebo you guys had in the centre of the park ... we were drinking Heineken for the entire morning! That cyah done!!

So it was yet another Original Vale classic in 2010.  We hear the Vale Vibe crew and the Eclipze crew joining forces for DC Carnival this year. One word ... "WOW"!  Thanks for having us guys and we’ll be seeing you in DC, in NY, in Miami and back in Trini all over again next year!
