Kingston Jamaica: March 17, 2010
: They say that perseverance is the key to success and that is indeed the attitude Blacklight recording artiste Peter Lloyd has taken.  After scoring his first number one for 2010 with the Dean Fraser produced ‘Searching’, the multi-talented actor/singer and songwriter is once again in a jubilant mood after receiving the good news earlier this week that his single which debuted on the Sam Brown’s – Peace FM chart two weeks ago has already jumped to the apex.

Not only is the song No.1 but Lloyd has also created history becoming the first and only Jamaican entertainer for 2010 to score a No.1  on the U.K based Chart.
Peace FM, located in Manchester, England is a community based radio station that offers diverse programming geared specifically but not exclusively towards the African/Caribbean community. The station known for various outreach programmes has been very instrumental in tackling discrimination and aiding the elderly amongst other topical issues.

“Getting a number one is always a good feeling, but having your music reach other markets seldomly traversed by your peers is even a greater accomplishment. I just want to thank everyone for their continued support and just look out for my new single ‘Mood 4 Luv’ in the coming weeks.” – said a cheerful Peter Lloyd.

The single is also doing very well in South Florida and New York and based on current trends is poised to break into the Top 10 on the respective Reggae Charts very soon.
