CROWD:
They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder ... seems like all of South Florida came out to see Mr. Machel after not seeing him for Trinidad C2K10.  Revolution was RAM, when yuh walk through the crowd and find yuh spot, it was best not to move from dey!  Kudos for reserving the dancefloor for VIP ticket holders, give them the best view in the house, and some lucky ladies who were privileged to have hands on accces to Mr. Montano, and one lady even got head on access.  In the house that night were Boris Cudjoe, Nicole Ari Parker, Gabrielle Union, and Miami Heat players Jamaal Magloire, Joel Anthony and Mr. Miami himself Dwayne Wade who seems to be fan of Soca fetes now, this being his second apparence at a Soca party in Miami. On stage Machel was joined by DJ Laz of Power 96.5, Shaggy, and new up and comer Casley doing their hit song "Sweat".

VENUE/ACCESSIBILITY:
Revolution Live is located in Downtown, Ft. Lauderdale, so the folks up North were glad to not have to drive to Miami. Lots of parking within walking distance at a reasonable price.  And like we said, the 'ramness 'of the fete made it a lil' difficult to move around, if you were not in VIP, but once the show started everybody was in a trance anyways.  Nevertheless, for the amount of people in there, you would expect a sweat box.. but that was not the case.

VIBES:
For those who were concerned before the show about the length of the performance, were pleasently surprised, Machel was full of energy and vibes for the show, and was on stage for over an hour, backed by his DJ of choice, GB (outta NY) he put on a SHOW for the people. New hits, old hits, jumps, splits and spins.  And after it was all said and done, Giselle D Wassi One insisted that Machel could leave before singing her favourite Machel song for 2010, "Thiefin". And the Taipan of Soca didn't disappoint! There were a few grumblings about some of the DJs prior to the show talking too much, but you can't please everybody.

COST/VALUE:
For those who got their general admission and VIP tickets pre-sold, you really can't complain about $25 and $35 to see Mr. HD.  For those who stick and waited till the last minute when general went up to $45, or came to pay at the door, well all we can say is... "When yuh stick, yuh get stuck!"

Standy by for TJJ TV coverage of the event, and our exclusive interview with Machel at Jazz in the Gardens the following day. Special thanks to TriniSouthBoyz (TSB) for their usual hospitality.
