It is Easter 2010 ... still ... and I have no work on Monday ... Got a request from GSS & 5.1 Edition ... Senses ... Easter Sunday .... after missing the first one, and I was told it was a mellow and decent flick ... I had to make up for missing what I heard ... I was not disappointed ... definitely not - I should say I was actually IMPRESSED!

CROWD:
The event itself had a small turn out and when I say small I mean less than two hundred (200) people but and there is always a but, those two hundred (200) people had a blast. There were some attractive people on site tonight and they were very friendly; complete with an enormous amount of love for the promoters (5.1 & GSS) why would they not be friendly to their fellow patrons? As spring is around the corner, the outfits were just the usual "in style" fashion ... nothing too revealing, nothing too covered but just enough to leave people's imaginations wondering.

VENUE/ACCESSIBILITY:
The Verve even though located in the heart of London very close to the Tube Stations Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus & Leicester Square and almost every possible Bus Route that passes through Central London - How Could You Get Lost? I Did ... As with all central london venues parking is a so and so ... that is all I will say ... Based on two floors - upstairs was very well lit, with the full main bar and lighting ornaments to have you staring at them for a two minutes accompanied with the well designed stairs and comfortable chairs to have a chitty chatty on. Downstairs, where the boom boom pow was taking place, was remotely dark, few lighting effects but great lighting effects, the few corner spots, the remote seating spots and of course how can I forget the one or two "dark" corners! The ceiling downstairs even though well decorated with mirrors so you could accompany the devil with vanity, was very low and hence breathing could have been an issue for those with "problems"! In a nutshell ... the venue was just "aight"

VIBES:
Do I? Should I? Oh Well ... here goes ...
The Disc Jockeys tonight provided all sorts of music tonight, from different genres and from different years. Hitting the majority of chart toppers to even some new releases the patrons were experiencing an abundance of different music and that is what brought the excitement levels to a high. The Soca & Calypso was definitely here tonight with the peak being the Palance segment as the caribbean folks who went to Trinidad Carnival 2010 were kindly asked to show the crowd what exactly a Palance looks like ... and they sure as hell did! Lets not forget the demonstration of "Pipe"!
Do you remember when you look at jamaican videos, or even their movies, like Dancehall Queen, and when they run tunes like "Murder She Wrote" or even "Bam Bam" both by Chaka Demus & Pliers, and man and woman are jirating slowly, feeling each other, just letting the sweat pass, and the hands roam, .... I could go on and on ... This Is What I Saw ... "This Man, Doh Trouble No One ... But If Yuh Trouble This Man It Will Bring A Bam Bam".....
The pinnacle for the evening however, goes to the Michael Jackson dance off directly in front of the DJ booth ... which started off with two contenders and then the magic number three coming in and completely destroying the other two ... felt like a secondary school bazaar in Trinidad ...
Entertainment! Energy! Very Much Present!

FOOD/DRINK:
The usual drinks were on sale at this Pub/Bar/Club. Drinks were definitely flowing and mixing - the Moet drinkers - the Jack Daniels & Red Bull Folks - Memory serves me right - I believe I saw a bottle of Johnny Walker & Courvoisier as well! Drinks were flowing ...
Food on the other hand ... *ahem* ...

SERVICE:
5.1 Edition & Gladiators Sound System definitely get kudos for your service! The guys made it a point to ensure their patrons were pleased and happy. The door staff at the Verve were awesome as well! I know one of them got their gape on for the entire night!

COST/VALUE:
Again, It was free entry before 11:00 pm and I believe that to be a steal of a deal! Especially in London! And In Central London as well!!!

Scorn Juice
... worth the bitter after taste
