Soca @ De Sandbar is your epic beach lime on the Wednesday before Road March. If you can bail out of work, we highly recommend doing so ... time to PALAANNNNNCCCCEEE!

CROWD:
The event was generally well attended by patrons and being a beach party, swimsuits were the order of the day! Most women surely were not afraid to show off their figure, as nearly all came out in beach attire. When ya talk bout sexy bodies!! It was enough eye candy to have man gaping the whole afternoon through, especially those with de heavy darkers on, peeping on the down low ...  ha ha! Like ya' self fellas. Oh, let's not forget to mention de smallie who was flashing her tot-tots (boobies) ... most daring, but we eh complaining! ;-)

VENUE/ACCESSIBILITY:
The clock was fast approaching 2 PM when we pulled into Morgan’s Harbor at Port Royal to make arrangements to get the venue. Our destination ... the uninhabited island Lime Cay (read last year's review). Now in order to get there it requires taking a short boat ride, either in fine style via your own yacht or as most of the local do, by hiring a canoe. Upon arrival, it's hard to miss the clear waters and white sand beaches that surrounds you. So weather you are a lover of the water or of the beach, you can't go wrong when it comes to this sunny island.

VIBES:
The vibes as with most fetes, didn't start from the get go. One of the big factors contributing to this was that a good bit of the patrons came via yacht, and it took them quite a while to separate from the conveniences and intimate lime on their vessels and come on land. During all of this, DJ Smoke & Delano of Renaissance Disco were dropping nuff selections and trying their very best to encourage everyone to come up on the beach and join the party. Folks such as Mr. Slaughter, Giselle D' Wassi One and JLava all touched the DJ set as well, adding to the excitement and vibes.

FOOD/DRINK:
Food & Drink ... well let's see! Unlike last year, there are literally no operating facilities on the island providing these items, so unless you pull up in your yacht with food and drinks on board, we strongly suggest that you pack a cooler and pack it GOOD!! You are going to be on the island for a couple of hours well, and in the sun too. Let that be your guide as to what you stock your cooler with. Sunblock ... check! Food ... check! Drinks ... check, check!! Oh and in all that sun, ice seems to melt away long before you even had the 2nd sip of your drink, so stock up.

SERVICE:
The level of service was good. It's not much of a factor to consider at this event however, since patrons are mostly responsible for taking care of the major details such as food, drink and transport to and from the island.

COST/VALUE:
This is a FREE party ... cah get any better dan dat! Your expenses to ensure having a good time however, could include the round-trip ticket for the canoe, food & beverages money!
