On Friday night we got a call asking if we would like to attend a boat cruise, that was going to taking place the following the day around 3 PM. After a quick overview of our weekend’s agenda, the cruise seemed quite possible and so we made some calls to confirm our position.

Boarding at 3 and departing at 4 PM, we arrived just in the nick of time walking straight unto the Treasure Queen before it set sail. Now this was a Retro Cruise and for the most part, the music reflected the greater part of the theme. There was an Afro styled wig circulating around the cruise from patron to patron however, stirring a little excitement as the folks who put it on, attempted to play the roles of different characters.

Drinks on this near three hour cruise was very abundant, with a large assortment of the drinks line up coming courtesy the Carib Brewery. More importantly however, if Carib supplied it … it was Free!! There were just loads and loads of Carib, Stag, Shandy, Black Wolf Beer, Mackeson and Smirnoff all for the taking. No way de bar could ah buss on this boat!! If patrons wanted food, their needs could have also been satisfied as the boats kitchen was up and ready for sale.

After sailing into and away from the sunset, we pulled into port around 7 PM after a lovely back in times session. This however was not the end of the festivities! At the side of the carpark hosted an array of tents where food and non alcoholic refreshments was available to all patrons and yet again … Free! This apparently was the Sober Zone segment of the event. While soaking in the music from the Carib trailer, folks had the opportunity to choose from the various menus available such as doubles, bake & shark, fish broth and corn soup. It’s not only nice but also a quite responsible way to close of an interesting and enjoyable day. Safe journeys everyone ...
