Some say that Carnival in Jamaica is a nice cool down carnival following T&T Carnival, but TJJ says the opposite... Bacchanal Jamaica is infact that needed Carnival/Soca injection to help any Carnival junkie get over their PCDS (Post Carnival Depession Syndrome). Bacchanal Jamaica has once again proved to us that their carnival can rank with the top carnivals around the world. Let's dig in...

CROWD:
With 2,000+ revellers on the road, you're always certain that there's going to be lots of beautiful ladies jumping with Bacchanal Jamaica, whereby the ratio of women to men always seem very favorable to the men! After all, there's an all female section. Did we mention that we love the "Bacchanal Babes" section! Lots of eye candy and sexy bumpers!! :-) This year, in addtion to the yearly die hards (count TJJ in this group), Bacchanal Jamaica saw lots of new faces from T&T, Barbados, St. Lucia, V.I, Cayman and the States. We even made a new friend all the way from Israel (yes, always a 1st time for everyone). So this carnival is most certainly growing in size - and it appears to be growing in the right direction as well.

VENUE/ACCESSIBILITY:
As usual the route starts at Mona High School and ends at The Mas Camp for the lasp lap cool down. Excellent route (good lenght), with lots of room on the road to jump (wine, wave and misbehave). Interesting point - since the 'Road March' is on Sunday, it's not allowed to start until after 12 noon when church lets out, or so we were told.

VIBES:
With the likes of DJs Private Ryan, Kirt Riley, Bambino, Smoke (Renaissance Disco) and 1st timer Giselle D Wassi One manning the 1s and 2s on the music trucks, there was nuff vibes pon di road to keep the folks 'palancing' and partying hard. Imji & Co. kept the live entertainment pumping (as they do every year). And well, when the rain fell after lunch, harrlawd! More jamishness in the watah!! Rain during any carnival just have a way of making people free up themselves even more... and free up they did. Even all the photographers and cameramen had to put down their equipment and get in on the action - heh, I ent see anyone complain! After all, when your hair is wet and your makeup wash off you have no care in the world, well hummmm, maybe one care ... too much rain water in your drinks! :-)

FOOD & DRINKS:
Bacchanal Jamaica is an All-Inclusive band (the 1st - see last year's review), so there is lunch in the park around the half way point, drink trucks on the road (and on ground), and of course those welcomed snacks throughout the day. We enjoyed the fish (lunch) and the curry goat (dinner) this year ... both excellent. Appleton VX is still our drink of choice when in Jamrock, best chased with Pepsi or Coke.

SERVICE:
One of our favorite things about Bacchanal Jamaica is the mobile servers right in the band.  Some bringing you snacks and others with coolers on wheels rolling right up to you and pouring a drink in your cup, so you don't have to vacate your bumper to go by the drinks trucks! A+

COST:
Bachanal Jamaica 2010 presentation "Bacchanal Treasures" had a total of nine (9) sections, each sponsored. The cheapest section was $104.00 USD, and the most expensive was $126.00 USD. All sections are All-inclusive – refreshments and meal on the road. Then there's Frenchmen's t-shirt section...

It was another fun-filled Road March experience. Bacchanal Jamaica, keep up the great work!
