Port of Spain, Trinidad
– Kimba Sorzano is back.  After a two-year hiatus, the “Synergy Soca Star” season one runner-up has crooned his way back into the limelight with the release of his new single “Maria”.

Sorzano, known for his up-tempo dance style, shows his sensitive side on the soulful track, which was written by Glenroy “Zamba” Richards of Antiguan soca band El-A-Kru and produced by Keron “Sheriff” Thompson of Black Ice Studios in Maraval.

The San Juan-based singer unravels the emotions of a man loving a beautiful woman from afar, while awaiting the right opportunity to approach. It’s a story that music video director Nigel Thompson brought to High Definition life from behind the lens of a Red Digital Cinema Camera.

“The Red Camera allowed me more creative flexibility to get the production done in a much quicker time frame exactly the way I wanted it and on budget,” Thompson said of the production.

The “Maria” video has already received thousands of hits, since it’s online release last week and an even greater buzz is anticipated following its mainstream media this week.

“It’s good to be back,” Sorzano said of his return to spotlight.
“I’m happy the song and video is receiving a lot of love in the Caribbean and thankful for the support shown to me and my team.

Black Ice Studios extends special thanks to Digital Domain Inc of Barbados, Alana Ramlal, Terry and Denise Sampson for their work on the “Maria” project.
