:-The Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall stage has been electrified by the lyrical prowess of Miss Kitty’s Wild Card Pick. Juggla seems to have been the diamond in the rough and has changed the nature of the competition, but who is Juggla?

Juggla began deejaying  at Magrath High School and twice entered the Tastee Talent Competition but never won even though he went to the grand finals in 1999. The 26 year old Linstead resident is the father of three and says that all he is doing this for his children with his community fully behind him.

Juggla took to deejaying because of the influence of his friends. He explains: “Mi always a do mi ting fi mi friend dem and they said I was really good so mi enter Magnum (Kings and Queens of Dancehall), after watching the competition over the years I thought that it was the best way for me to get the exposure. The music world is a competitive one as nobody is gonna look at a young artiste and Magnum is the best way to get through for someone like me”.

Juggla’s father died in an accident when he was three months old and he was raised by his mother. He has two siblings and is the only boy. He says his mother had to struggle to raise them and did house work in the St Catherine area to send them to school. The artiste says sometimes he had to attend school without lunch but was respected by his peers and teachers who ensured that he was always O.K.

The humorous Deejay says he is inspired by Professor Nuts, Bounty Killa, Assassin and Vybz Kartel but has his own style: “It woulda be unfair to seh yu no hold nutten from nobady, u use a little bit from here and there and mek u own style”.

If he wins the Magnum Kings of Dancehall title Juggla wishes to have a successful music career and to give people good music:”The amount of people that have contributed to where I am so far, the only way I can repay them is by giving them good music, because there are so many and mi caan repay everybody individually”.

Watch TVJ this Saturday on TVJ at 9:30pm to see if Juggla can take the crown over Press Fyah.
