After a long day on the road partaking in the DC Carnival Parade, then followed by loads of ole talk and a meal; the team took a quick refresher, geared up and made headway down to DC Star Club for one of the night’s many carnival festivities.

Now finding a park seemed to be quite a challenge, and as a result we were forced to make continuous circles in the vicinity of the club. It was funny to say that with every pass made, we asked ourselves ... why we didn’t pull a park in the first spot we saw??!! During this on the road Ferris Wheel ride, we couldn’t help but notice the long line of patrons awaiting entrance to the club however. No wonder we could not get a park!

After all the parking antics, we finally reached inside and we noticed that the vibes was now beginning to bubble. Some folks were patronizing the bar while other swayed to the musical selections of the DJs. NY's Back to Basics alongside Miami's Giselle Di Wassi One on the M.I.C threw down a nice set. There was even an entertaining live drum act put on by Kerry The Drummer who also helped in livening up tonight’s party mood.

Close to 3 AM Bajan soca sensation Edwin Yearwood came on and stirred things up, commencing the night’s on stage performances. Bunji “de gyal dem darling” Garlin followed on the heels of Edwin’s performance, dishing out some fast lyrical repertoires of popular favorites. Hits such as "We Done Deh""Banana", "Plenty Gyal" and 2005 classic "Blaze It Up" were definite crowd pleasers.

Fay-Ann Lyons took stage presence immediately after Bunji’s performance, stepping on stage in an all black super sexy catsuit outfit. Not to be fooled by Fay-Ann’s sexy appeal, this woman is known to hype a crowd. Her recitial of hits such as "Break Away", "Get On" and "Start Wining" proved nothing but this.

The party pretty much wrapped up after Fay-Ann’s performance. Time check at this time was a little after 4 AM. As the lights came on and the masses made their way out, so did we with a slight feeling of hunger on our minds. Time to see how the action was going down by de corn soup man we guess!!
