Hyped from jumping up in sun and rain for two days? It’s 7pm on Carnival Tuesday in St. Lucia and you don’t want to go home yet? Your bumsie still wants to move but you don’t know where to put it? Here is the solution: Rituals Last Lap Party at Samaans Park, easy to find since located on the main road right in the middle between Castries and Rodney Bay. Free for Rituals band members, $20.00EC for non-members this after party offered a great deal: 4 free drinks and a cup of hot cornsoup!

The crowd of initially 30 people or so grew bigger and bigger and the vibe reached it’s boiling point when revellers started showering themselves with water from the tent’s roof and were stomping on the wooden palettes that formed the dancefloor.

People wining on people sitting on chairs, people wining on people on the floor, people wining on poles, people wining on anything... literally!

The only unfortunate incident, which occurred at the very end of the fete, was a fight between security staff (what?) which was scary and unprofessional. Besides that incident the event was a great way to finish the last day of Carnival in St. Lucia and take in a little bit more madness before getting back to everyday life again.
