So guess what? the bleedin' carnival parade is over, your foot 'urtin', your waistline completely warmed up and with every carnival there must be an afterparty ... there must be the bloomin' final closure where you could get your Present and Past Tiddley Wine up - where you could get your Present and Past dosage of soca music and interact with geezer soca lovers. D-One and the Jammasters Crew, after a few hiccups ensured that we had that experience and heaven and hell what can I say ... it was worth the Bread and Honey!

CROWD:

There was a vast number of females in the dance ... you could not turn your head left or right without spotting a fabulous looking female ... whether they were wonderfully dressed, or wining and jamming on the ground, or even taking a batty rump shake with another female, if they were sweatin' and wiping the sweat from their foreheads, or even the ones with the weaves and all the numerous head wear (yes folks ... weave is now known as head gear!!). This crowd was nowhere near a quiet crowd ... from the moment people entered the dance, they went to the bar, they went to the dancefloor, they went infront the mirror and watch themselves wine and sweat! Good Times Maybe? ... I Say Great Times!!!

VENUE/ACCESSIBILITY:
Club Laguna was the location for tonights boogie of sorts  - located on the waterfront or harbour front or river front of Rotterdam, directly and severely close to where the trucks for the parade met up earlier in the day. The venue is normally known for latin events but tonight and into the wee hours of the morning it was transformed into a soca heaven! With big fans and the numerous mirrors all over the spot - it was cool and the atmosphere was certainly one of a kind. The bars were of a regular size and there were even bar stools so you could attempt to chat up a bird or as a guy, you could sit down on the stool and pose off and show off your goods ... or not!

VIBES:
To complement the venue and the crowd the vibe must be on top of its game! As it is the carnival season in Rotterdam, what other music would you expect to hear other than the sweet jirating sounds of soca? Well Godfather Sound System, DJ Tate and from Germany, Henrik from Mash Up Crew definitely did the job of keeping the energy level pumping and the sweating rolling off foreheads and bumpers. D-One again added an extra bit of spice to the evening by not playing soca as expected, but running some serious "oh goooooosh" reggae and dancehall tunes. You know those kinda tunes that takes you back to the good old days when guys rocked coloured levi's and karl kani shirts, and lambada tights were the shit for the chickies? The party was nice. Big up, Diesel and Konata K-Marvel for passing through in the dregs of the party and hyping up the last moments! Maaad!

SERVICE/DRINKS:
The bar as I said was reasonably sized. The prices I believe were reasonable club/bar prices for a city club ... and I hardly saw empty hands unless they were being waved in the air or holding on to a bam-cee or trying to get someones digits or blackberry pin ... you know what goes on in a party ... yah man! The bar staff were indeed calm and collective - they were very friendly and served with a smile (some of them). I still do not understand why I have to pay to use the urinal to go tinkle and winkle ... but hey that is Holland for you apparently ... well the clubs I went to ... such a shame ... actually kills some of the vibes in events!

COST/VALUE:
It was €10.00 before 1:00 am and after 1:00 am it was €15.00. There were a good few people before 1:00am but the majority of the dance came after ... so you know they coming to make sure they get their €15.00 worth of pumping and grinding!
After all ... nobody complained ... you know what that means? .... IT WAS WORTH THE MULA (money)!!!!

The shenanigan itself was described as wicked by patrons!
The experience was dear to some hearts and mixed with the splendid aroma of fun loving music ... the dance SELL OFF!!!
Rotterdam 2011 ... maybe ... possibly ... we shall see ... not promising ...

D-One ... you large ... I know you running things ... You Are My Idol! hahahaha ...
