Bathsheba, Barbados (Sonique Solutions) – In only its second year the “Bathsheba Experience” has become a sparkling jewel in the crown of Barbados’ Crop Over weekend of events.

The annual summertime soiree which was recently held at Once in Blue Moon Villa on Barbados’ picturesque east coast provided the perfect balance of comfort and excitement to kick off the action packed Crop Over weekend leading to the famous Grand Kadooment Day parade.

This Crop Over Friday premium all inclusive affair was a hot topic among local, regional and international Carnival enthusiasts due to the momentum and buzz generated from its successful 2009 edition.

The promoters of the Bathsheba Experience, Fever International Ltd/CaribbeanFever.com went the extra mile to ensure that an enjoyable, memorable time was had by all in attendance.

Quality was indeed the order of the evening as the event offered a venue with a breathtaking, moonlit backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean which presented a unique, tropical party social setting ideal for partying under the stars.

Added to this luxuriant, relaxing ambience was the variety of delicacies on hand such as Sushi, Curried Chicken, Basmati rice and Pasta salad. Several variations of pork (a Bajan Friday favourite) were also served and for those who simply wanted a light snack in between drinks, fresh salad skewers and tortilla chips were available

Top of the line drink options combined with first rate bar service accentuated the premium nature of the event. As the beautifully dressed patrons enjoyed their choice of Cocktails, Wine, Whisky, Vodka or Gin one could not help but notice the true Caribbeaness of this one of a kind affair.

The Bathsheba Experience which was the brainchild of media personality Dahved Levy (Barbados) and Siobhan Thompson (Trinidad) featured an all star cast of Barbadian and Trinidadian DJs and a rare performance by Jamaica’s Dancehall legend Shabba Ranks who flew in specifically to attend this event.

Amidst the excellent blend of Soca, Reggae and Hip-Hop, Shabba’s performance was well received and appreciated by all as he delivered some of his classic party anthems such as “Ting A Ling”, “Dem Bow” and “Trailer Load A Girls”.

This year’s Bathsheba Experience attracted festival fanatics from various parts of the globe. Aside from guest performer Shabba Ranks other notable attendees included Barbadian entertainment manager/lawyer Santia Bradshaw, Guyanese songstress Timeka Marshall and Trinidad born, New York based TV/radio personality Jeanille Bonterre.

Dahved Levy, who is best known for his popular New York City radio show on WBLS 107.5 FM, was seen hard at work entertaining the many guests at his event.

When asked about 2010’s edition, event co-producer Siobhan Thompson shared, “Bathsheba Experience was definitely a success, as we hosted an increased number of persons from the International Caribbean Diaspora (UK, France, USA and the region) and an increased Barbadian attendance as well. The guest performance by Shabba Ranks still has everyone talking”.

Bathsheba Experience is like no other event for the Crop Over season and is meant to jump start the Kadooment weekend.

One enthused patron offered this sentiment regarding the party, “I’m from Boston and I heard so much great things about last year’s fete that I had to make an effort to experience it for myself. The food, drinks and location were great and the music selections were awesome. It truly lived up to the hype and was worth the trip down here”.

As Fever International Ltd/CaribbeanFever.com looks towards future events they extend gratitude to their sponsors Mt. Gay Distilleries, Energy Vybz, Broadkast for all of their continued support.

The Bathsheba Experience proved to be a successful entertainment alternative to the other Crop Over Friday options. With an increasing fan base it is positioning itself to be an unquestionable mainstay on the Caribbean calendar of events.
