Hurricane Earl was the only one missing in action this entire Labor Day Weekend! Friday night was supposed to storm, and threats of that alone could not stop a promising Carnival in New York! Natalie and Shorblu came together to kick off the Labor Day weekend, with a Carnival soire called Santi-Mani-Tay! A night of pure sexiness to prime for the bad behavior that was soon to come.

Friday night, had so many events going on in Brooklyn. Some within a block radius of each other. Santimanitay had a nice relaxed vibe for a social crowd. Not much wining low and definitely no palancing. The hype of labor day weekend caused a lil commotion amongst a few partygoers. Females, please stop trying to ambush one another in a party, its not appealing. Can't go 'round tryna mash up people fete! Music was provided by Sounds 4 Life, the Duchess, Juggler, Back 2 Basics, and SLI. Partygoers enjoyed the old school vibe, whether it was the old school dancehall tunes or 80's classics, it built some excitement. Dancers in pastel colored tutu's, that emphasized their whinnin skills, brought a nice vibe. The fellas were definitely entertained!

This outdoor venue had plenty people but it was very easy to move around. The place wasn't ram and hot! The two bars and the lines for food were the only spots with heavy traffic, as people bought round after round of drinks, and bottles upon bottles of top shelf liquor. The smokey smell of some good end of summer barbecue on an oil drum grill formed a line. Can't forget the hype of those wings! Besides that, there was always enough open space to literally chill and breeze out with the crew. Earl sent some amazing breeze!

Natalie and the guys of Shorblu throw some of the chicest events for the Caribbean scene in New York! TJJ definitely appreciates the love throughout the years and we have to send it right back!
