Fashion Designer Ecliff Elie has been named Caribbean Fashion Designer – Male 2010. On Sunday, October 24th, the prestigious Caribbean Fashion Awards ceremony took place as the Grand Finale to the Bridgetown Barbados Fashion Week experience. It is at this event that the best of the Caribbean were recognized for their contribution to Caribbean Fashion. Trinidad shares in the honour and excitement of this event, as their very own Ecliff Elie has won the Award in the category of Caribbean Fashion Designer – Male.

Ecliff Elie has been flying the Caribbean Fashion Flag high, with his stunning designs. His signature collections include: For the Love of Fashion, For the Love of Fashion II, The Romance, Taste of Berries and El Hombre de La Hora. This year the designer brought forth two fascinating collections. Early in 2010, he launched his collection titled ‘Cavelie’r Mordn’. This compelling collection of men’s suits revealed the modern man as a man of sophistication and engaging presence. Within the second half of the year, the designer launched his ‘Viva Arima!’ Collection, which was inspired by the Amerindian and Spanish influence of his hometown Arima, Trinidad. Through his use of enchanting earth tones and powerful fabrics, he shared the story of Arima with the world. This collection received rave reviews throughout the Caribbean and has caught international interest.

With the delivery of such exceptional designs, it is no surprise that Ecliff Elie is the Caribbean Fashion Designer – Male for 2010. He is truly a remarkable designer with a touch of excellence that is second to none. We all wait with baited breath to see what he has in store going forward.
