CROWD:
There was always a steady trickle of people coming in through out the duration of the festival. Also from the looks of things, the majority of patrons appeared to be mature and of an older age demographic. Of course there was a mix from the younger generation representing as well. In keeping with the theme, most people came out dressed in either pink, white or brown showing their true solidarity towards the fight of breast cancer.

VENUE/ACCESSIBILITY:
We were told that there was a vision in the mind of one of the main promoters that lead them to holding the event at the Queen's Park Savannah. Now we can also envision the concept too ... lovely Sunday evening ... nice outdoor ambiance ... green grass ... and the whole blending with nature feeling. But ... rainy season and outdoor venues seldom mix, especially when the grounds is grass covered! Mixing these two elements is bound to create mass amounts of MUD. Apart from the mud issue however, the general infrastructure, setup and layout of the venue seemed well planned and organised. There was even an attempt to curb the negative effects of the mud by covering additional surface areas with plastic flooring.

VIBES:
"This was a festival with a huge cast line up. The event itself ran from 12 noon to 9PM, with live performances spanning the duration of the show. During the daylight hours of the event however, the prevalent visibility of mud dampened the vibes quite a bit. Once the sun had set, it was ironic to see how the same people were now comfortably standing in places where they previously scorned lol. True to say ... what the eyes don't see, the heart doesn't grieve!

Now when we say a huge cast line up, we are not kidding. Names such as Allison Hinds, Tessanne Chin, Kes, Fay Ann Lyons, Bunji Garlin, Destra Garcia, 3 Canal and Ky Mani Marley were just some of the evening's performers. There were two definite high points of the festival that really brought some excitement and vibes. The first was Bunji & Fay Ann's ability to get the crowd moving and involved, so much so that people we dancing all in the mud without a care in the world. The second was at the end of the Ky Mani's performance when several other artists joined him on stage, all collaborating and reciting popular hits by the late great Bob Marley. Songs like "Redemption Song", "I Shot The Sheriff", "No Woman No Cry", "Three Little Birds" and closing song "One Love" all had the audience singing to their hearts' content.

FOOD/DRINK:
It was an All Inclusive event with a premium stocked bar. Many promotion booths present were also giving out a variety of other drink samples. In terms of food, there was a main course available consisting of mixed rice, red beans, soya, cassava, chicken and green salad. The ever popular shark n bake, doubles and corn soup were also readily available.

SERVICE:
On the whole service was generally good. In terms of the promoters, it was a first time event and of course there would be minor glitches here and there. The important thing to note however, was that someone was always there ready to help sort out most concerns.

COST/VALUE FOR MONEY:
This festival carried a price tag of $600TT. You got quite a show for the money and more importantly, the opportunity to support a good cause.
