DANCE COMPANY GOES INTERNATIONAL …
We are sure that many of you are wandering what or who is ELLE NYTT. Well let’s see if we here at TJJ can help clarify things. According to ELLE NYTT … “their mission is to become an internationally recognized dance company offering different styles of dance. Elle NYTT, formerly Elle Incorporated established in Trinidad and Tobago in 2007, embraced the name change when the company established a branch in New York in 2010.
Elle NYTT in Trinidad and Tobago offers dance classes in modern, folk, hip hop, dancehall and Latin as well as kids’ classes. The performing members have grown to almost 40 in number, and are available for corporate events, theatrical productions, music videos, television commercials, print advertising and live performances.
Elle has been involved in several projects including the Synergy TV T&T Best Dance Crew 2009 and 2010, the COTT Music Awards 2007 and 2008, BG Dance-A-Thon 2008, and the Cocktail Reception for South East Asia Trade and Investment Mission 2008 to name a few. The company is determined to continue to develop the dance industry in Trinidad and Tobago as well as market the country internationally.
Elle NYTT takes pride in being very inclusive and inviting to the public, offering open classes which cater to all levels of experience. The members invite you to be a part of the continuing process to develop the dance industry in Trinidad and Tobago and to further market our Caribbean nation to the world.” ” … end quote. Humm … hope you got all that!!
So on Friday 10th they decided to do a formal launch, and invited media to attend. Now even though we missed out on most of the formalities, we were still able to capture the essence of things … the vibes …and most importantly … the people that make up ELLE NYTT. Ohh and not forgetting that extra special moment, when the guys decided to showcase some talent personally for our cameras. Thanks for all the love and hospitality guys!
