The line of cars already parked at the bar did not surprise me.  At the early hour of 10pm, Cruz Cocktail Bar was already in full swing.  Anyone who was anticipating the premier of Spot Light Tuesday’s featuring local soca star Umi Marcano, would have been even more excited with the scene which greeted patrons.  At the door, some committee members had the guest list In hand ready and waiting to receive friends.  As I entered the venue ALIZE girls warmly greeted and offered me a drink, it was just the right start to anyone coming to have a good time.

The atmosphere was hyped.  A bar strategically placed outside served cocktails while patrons mingled and enjoyed the music from the in house DJ David. Lots of familiar faces greeted me as many of the bar’s loyal customers came out to support the event.  Inside the bar was no disappointment either, as I walked in the cool air and still more familiar faces. The photographer promptly came to do a shot of my crew which we were told would be placed on the bar’s FB page.  The stage was set, placed where everyone would be able to see the performance.  It was branded with the Cruz Cocktail Bar banner and well presented.

The atmosphere remained hyped as more people entered the bar.  Even though the place was filled there was no problem getting drinks from either bars, the bartenders were efficient in serving all customers.

Umi’s performance was delayed but he did not disappoint.  He sang familiar songs and his performance was considered too short for many.  The party did not stop there, the DJ took over and there were some giveaways to patrons.  People remained for the after party and fully enjoyed it. The drinks were plentiful and the music entertaining.  I’m sure everyone will be awaiting the next Spot Light Tuesday.
