TJJ was up front and center at Mr. Vegas "Mus Come A Road" Video Release Party at "Caribbean Thursdays" at Club Element in NYC and yuh know we had to put him in the interview hot seat. Surrounded by microphones and the flash of the cameras, we made our way through the crowd, (it's easy when your short!) and quickly got up front and center. Your girls got the inside scoop - a little bit more than music - from the talented Dancehall artist, with some jokesy pictures to boot!
Eljon: What would you be doing if you weren't involved in music?
Mr. Vegas: I would love to own and run a restaurant.
Eljon: What is the one thing you cannot travel without on tour?
Mr. Vegas: That would have to be my oatmeal bars. I have acid reflux so it's very important that I have them whenever I get hungry since I can't eat certain things.
Eljon: Describe your perfect day.
Mr. Vegas: Playing dominoes.
Eljon: Just so?
Mr. Vegas: Yeah, just playing dominoes!
Eljon: What is your most memorable performance?
Mr. Vegas: That would have to be at Sumfest 1998. It's so big in Jamaica and was one of the largest crowds I've performed in front of. The vibe was great!
Eljon: What is your favorite song that you've written?
Mr. Vegas: That would have to be "Do You Know". I thought it was really important to let people know about Women's Post Partum Depression.
Eljon: What is something your fans don't know about you?
Mr. Vegas: Well my fans basically know everything about me but -- **Sorry folks ... he asked that that stay between me and him**
Eljon: What's next for you?
Mr. Vegas: Well that would be touring. I'm doing this big "College Rave" tour. We've gone to Trinity College, Northeastern, Baruch, Spelman and Buffalo University so far. I also have my 10th Anniversary tour coming up in September.
Mr. Vegas: But other than that, I'm just going to continue doing what I'm doing ... making music.
And we hope you do. I for one can't wait to hear this man's next chune because everything he touches turns to a hit!
