January 11, 2011 – Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago - Kaj Designs, Tobago’s premier fashion label, launched its annual Carnival promotion with a 50% sale that kicked off on Monday January 10, 2011. Trinidad and Tobago’s Carnival socialites will enjoy this season-long discount off select pieces from the 2010/2011 Kaj Resort collection, Shore Culture.

Reflecting the sun-kissed iridescence of its Caribbean landscape, Kaj’s first-ever resort collection lavishly drapes the feminine contour in ribbons of ombré and tie-dyed chiffons, silk rayons, silk satins, organzas and crepe georgettes with subtle accents in suede, leather, taffeta, coque and pheasant plumes and coconut shell. Designed with versatility and feminine comfort in mind, the effortless silhouettes of Kaj’s Shore Culture collection can be worn in the day and night for appearances at exclusive Carnival functions.

In June 2010, Kaj premiered the barefoot luxury of the Shore Culture collection at the 10th Caribbean Fashionweek (CFW) in Kingston, Jamaica. Kaj’s 2010 CFW showing featured a decorated cast of some of the region’s most renowned models including Trinidad and Tobago’s leading model, Leah-Mari Guevara; Jamaica’s number one model, Jeneil Williams, who boasts cover credits for LOVE, i-D, the Wall Street Journal and French magazine; Jamaica’s newest sensation and Vogue Italia’s beauty cover model, Sedene Blake; the Caribbean’s first super model, Jaunel McKenzie; Jamaican, Nell Robinson, best known for her H&M and Rimmel campaigns; model, actress and singer, Nicole Grey, of Better Mus’ Come fame; and Britain’s top model, Rachael Williams. The design house followed its CFW showing with a presentation at St. Vincent’s Fashion Caribbean in August 2010 and closed the year in October with a runway presentation at the BB Fashion Week in Barbados.

At the 2010 CFW, Cadet freely praised Kaj’s Shore Culture, “The collection is truly unforgettable. It exudes sensuality, femininity and originality. It’s like a sweet breeze.”

For the entire Carnival season, Kaj’s clients can look forward to this 50% discount off Shore Culture creations including Kaj’s latest innovation, the Shuffle and all shorts.
