Christmas is over! Tribe ICE officially opened the season and Carnival 2011 is upon us. TJJ made our way to St Johns for yet another big cooler fete for the year, put on by Winer Boy Entertainment. They had an impressive line up consisting of JW & Blaze, Shall Marshall, Nadia Baston, Casssi and TC. Also with a name as promising as 'Bumperville', expectations were high among the (male) patrons.

Since coolers had to get in before 12.30 am, fete was packed by the time we got inside. Typical cooler fete scenes … bring yuh drinks and have a time. The paying bar seemed pretty well-stocked from our observations, and there was some BESS lamb gyros and corn soup were on sale. The wait was a bit long but the food definitely worth it!

So gyro in one hand, (paid for) jager in the other, and soon we were palancing on top coolers in the usual fashion. This gave us a pretty good view of a girl pulling up her top and bending over ... OMG! Looking across the crowds’ cross section a little further,  we realised there was a temporary tattoo parlor set up ... and YES,  you could get it anywhere you wanted it for a few dollars. Hmmm!! After getting a Butterfly tattoo of our very own, we then ran up to secure our place near the stage for Shal Marshall’s performance.

If you don’t know 'Motorbike' by now, you shouldn't be in a fete people! Ha ha. Shal was then followed by JW and Blaze. After their performance, we manage to sneak our way backstage to get a photo with JW and also mentioned how much we like his baldhead!!!

Not too long after all the performances however, the party started to unwind and come to a close. We even happen to over hear some patrons complaining that while the DJ was doing a great job, the MC was talking too much and interrupting the musical flow. The way everyone was dancing however, TJJ couldn't really tell yes … lol!

Overall the fete was more than decent and there was a great turnout. If the vibes had a little more hype, it would have been not only an enjoyable experience, but also an unforgettable one.  Like Pink Juice said in Tribe’s fete ICE … “if you were not with a good crew, it woulda probably be just an average night.” But for $150, we definitely not complaining at all ;-) And yes … the butterfly TATTOO still there! TJJ over and out …
