Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. January 25, 2011 - Futuristic. High Energy. Alive.

Starr George is in 2011, proving the old adage- like good wine, he gets better with age.

You’ve heard of him, having been a part of Trinidad and Tobago’s soca and calypso fraternities for the past 13 years. In 2011, he’s back with a bang, delivering a heated soca rendition of a track produced by Shot Master J out of S.M.J. Productions. This is no ordinary thing, as often time, a person remains low key then explodes onto the scene with something so strong, there’s no denying the possibility.

Ahead of Carnival 2011, Starr George has delivered one called, “Road On Fire.” The song, which is vibrant and paints the ideal picture of T&T’s carnival, rides the Wuk Up Riddim and was mixed and mastered by one of T&Ts best producers, Neil Bernard.

Already, signs of the track’s power are showing as rotation on radio is increasing. His up beat nature comes through in his music and this can only be enough to send revelers in a frenzy this carnival.

With his soca contribution already generating good feedback, George is also focusing on his annual commitment to the Calypso Revue tent of which he is a mainstay. Ambitiously he strives to add his distinct flavour to the tent, and in so doing, he works with his colleagues to ensure that the legacy of the late, great Lord Kitchener, is kept alive.

Never one to sit idly by, George- the man who in the past, was seen alongside local bands like Atlantik, Earplay, Charlie’s Roots, Triple X and Pure Energy, continues to make good music with the sole ambition of keeping local culture alive.
