Jouvert has become one of the most overlooked portions of Carnival music, even though it is still one of the focal parts of each years festivities. However, a few artist do answer the call and this year break out artist Kiko Dan delivers.

This talented vocalist and song writer is not new to the music world, having recorded songs with local acts such as Brother Marvin, Prophet Pillar and the most notable overseas record "Me And The DJ" with New York Soca artist Bre.

Kiko didn't have the typical start in music. It was more of a hobby until the untimely passing of a good friend. It was when he was asked to perform a song at the funeral that he began to take his music career seriously.

Hailing from Five Rivers, Arouca (Trinidad), Kiko migrated to New York to pursue a college education. It was during this time that he would begin recording new songs with many local producers. This would ultimately lead to him recording several songs with soca/reggae producer Tony "The Mad Architect" Brown, and lead to his Carnival 2k11 release, "CHIP".

This is Kiko Dan's first Debut Solo Single and it captures the true essence of Jouvert. Known as a singer, this is also a departure from his normal "singjay" style. Look out for more releases from this emerging Trini' talent in the near future.
