What more do you want on a long weekend ? A party in 3 parts set over 24 hrs and guess what ?....it's all a little bit Essex !!!
CROWD:
Definite eye candy on both sides!! London's finest came out on top form having dug out the best of their summer wardrobe for this Easter weekend, that turned out to be a total scorcher !!! The ladies went all out in hot shorts and even hotter dresses! and the guys opted for the 'Joey Essex' look in preppy shorts and shoes ! We have never seen so many shades we wanted in one place!! The crowd may have been just a little 'Essex' (you have to visit London to truly understand that statement) but was also an awesome mixture...young and old (one man was partying with his mum!) And best of all from all over the world... !!!! Everyone was out to enjoy their long weekend, everyone was uber friendly and fun loving and we love it : )
VENUE?ACCESSIBILITY:
We must say its a been a while since we feel like we have actually been impressed with a venue that works for day and night. Now whilst it may need a little updating, Cargo has it all...a large Terrace with big umbrellas so you can bask in and still hide from the sun, a bbq pit and outdoor 'Tiki' bar, funky wall murals, several bars inside and lots of different rooms with different music. Now it helped that the sun was out in full force and the Terrace was packed with gorgeous party peeps but we have to say... Bring on more summer parties at Cargo !!! Now even after the sun went down, it worked equally well as a regular 'club' with disco balls, a stage and flashing lights on the inside ! Boom !
VIBES:
For a moment there with everyone's hands in the air and the music pumping out on the Terrace, we could swear we were at Bora Bora ! Man Rhythmatic made us want to be in Ibiza !! But let us tell you, this was pretty close - Rhythmatic had vibes sellin in a bottle and everyone was drinking it by the bucket load ! Let us tell you there were no sour faces, NONE ! The music as you would expect was on point with banging DJ sets from House music specialists....Chris Lattner, Ekkohaus, Wesley Razzy, Rico Novo, Tulani and Ceri to name just a few ! The music was so great that peeps were calling the DJ name when asking where the after party was at ! People danced all over this venue and showed the world that London knows how to party...please don't make us leave ....this was pure entertainment! Thank God for the after party !!
FOOD/DRINKS:
Now we didn't get to sample the food but a big bbq was firing on the outside where you could queue up for the burger of your choice anytime...sweet :) Huge cocktail jugs were on sale with several straws for you to share with your crew...the bar seemed to have most spirits and most canned beers... So whilst draught drinks might have been limited, they had pretty much everything you needed to quench your thirst in the sunshine.
SERVICE:
Top service, no queues at the bar and the cargo team and of course our favourite double trouble twins running around keep people happy and handing out bottles of 'vibes' lol...great service, thanks !
COST/VALUE FOR MONEY:
Early bird tickets for the Moon Harbour experience ranged from between £10 and £20 depending on how early you were ! However....reach Cargo during the day and there was no charge for this part of the 24 hour Rhythmatic experience and that my dears was a steal of a deal : )
