Can you all smell what I’m smelling ??? yes people, close your eyes and feel the smell of the sea, the sand, Summertime is coming, and we are officially back in the Beach parties season. Hot sun, Bikinis, fresh drinks, sound blasting, ohhhhh we are loving those things.

In honour of the famous shades brand, Ray Ban, Optika Krys and Sénosté Rigoureuse Fraicheur welcomed us in the north of the island at the Marouba Hotel beach located in the town of Le Carbet.

The promoters teased us a lot with their flyers: “Ban the rays of the sun (Raybanner)!
A slogan that is not ours. Feet in the water, head in the sand, one hand on the ball, DJ Madness, an unbridled violin, percussion .... In this whirlwind of the senses, a VIP lounge ... One breath, relax, hostesses Care, a special service ... And our taste buds, tiny bubbles that make us ...Aviator, Wayfarer, Clubmaster .... What is your Clan? “

Having all the scenery in my mind, I reached the beach around 2pm, really really excited and expecting a lot of this event.

First impression when I got in the hotel went for the venue, a beautiful black sand beach, well decorated with pink tissues, tables and chairs, clean and hot with a little breeze. The water was calm, a perfect and awesome weather to enjoy this Ray-Ban day.
If you wanted to come with your boat or catamaran, this was an nice spot to put your anchor.

My excitement has been stopped pretty fast when I realized that the beach was totally empty by this time of the afternoon, nobody, just music, uhhhhhhh where are the party people and the bikinis ?? Almost 4pm and the place was still empty, maybe people took time to wake up on their Sunday. To kill some time, I saw some people enjoying the water, getting a tan, or having a sweat playing beach tennis.Thirsty with this heat, I decided to have a stop by the bar … You have to know that it was not an all inclusive event, drinks and food were not free. Drinks were mmmm… just ok, in a French style, enough champagne if u had money to pay for bottles.By the classic bar, I’ve been very disappointed,  not a lot of variety and choice, impossible to buy bottles, soft drinks Not Free !! Very expensive at the end. At least the service was a with smile, generosity and comfortable. I would expect more about the food and quality also, it was too simple...

By the sunset, the venue started to welcome more people, but with the size of the dance floor, it was obvious that it would have been very hard to pack it up. I tried to enjoy it a maximum, cause the music was excellent, the three present dj’s did a great performance in my opinion, Vibes with music from house, electro, techno by Cam Newel and Enzo to Caribbean beats with Paradox. Their mix were accompanied by two talented men with violin and percussion drum. Vibes, lights effects and smoke were “the bomb”, enough sexy to put the crowd in the mood to dance, but that never really happened, some of the crowd had fun but the “Sunday night fever” can not be awarded to this Ray-ban day.

Oh well I don’t want to close my eyes on some good points, the first one went to the service, just perfect, lots of hostesses to serve you and clean your table, always with smile, second was: the ray ban girls who showed us all the collection with joy. A big up must go to the El Fuego’s girls who offered me some good air photo shots, we had good fun … and big up to the crab too lol.

Conclusion of this quiet beach party: With an expensive price to get in (25€), This non an all inclusive event where you were spending your money to see … (mmmmm I don’t know what) disappointed me a lot. It could have been great if the venue was more crowded, all the conditions were there to have a good time, let’s say it, a Beach party without plenty bacchanal, plenty bikinis, and affordable drinks is way to hard to enjoy, but you done know that TJJ always find a way to take the best of it, enjoy the pictures, and let’s hope for a better second edition.
