This was a party of firsts. The 1st F.R.I.E.N.D.S. for 2011, the first time with Barrie Hype in the line up and the first ever Memorial day weekend day time boat ride in South Florida.

This was a party of firsts. The 1st F.R.I.E.N.D.S. for 2011, the first time with Barrie Hype in the line up and the first ever Memorial day weekend day time boat ride in South Florida. All aboard!!!
CROWD:
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. events usually attract the 25 and older crowd, the mature and sexy as they say with the emphasis on the sexy for this boat ride.
VENUE/ACCESSIBILITY:
The venue this time was a 120 foot yacht named the Musette 1 and she ws docked in downtown miami in Bayside Marketplace just behind the Hard Rock cafe. For the luckyt few who parked by the Hard Rock cafe the boat was 1 minute walk away. For the rest of us who parked in Bayside parking garage it was a 5 minute walk through the market place to the other side of the marina.
VIBES:
As expected we pulled away from the dock a lil late, but we unlike a club where you can show up two hours after the party started, the promoters were kind enough to wait for the later comers, which included 3 gentlement who showed up after the boat was untied from the dock and the walkway removed and had to jump onto the boat. #truestory
After lineing up in the south florida sun most folks were chilling on the 1st deck soaking up the air conditioning or it could be that there were two bars on this level. Slowly but surely everyone made their way upstairs to the 2nd level where the party was starting to swing. Even though the line up was one DJ short of a full cast, Barrie Hype and House Arrest were more than capable. As somebody said; "they mash up the Musette" there was lots of Motion in the Ocean and Bachannal on the Bay. We got lots of curious looks from the other boaters out on the water that day. Nobody wanted that ride to end when we pulled back in to the marina 4 hours later.
FOOD/DRINKS:
As usual the corn soup from @djoser_mc was bess and was just what the doctored ordered to go along with all that drinking. Drinks were relatively easy to get at any of the 3 bars on board. They were cash only, but the prices were thankfully reasonable, so drinks was flowing and a few bottles was even popping.
COST/VALUE FOR MONEY:
With early bird presold tickets at $25 then going up to 30 and $35 one cant complain as it was good value for your money, even the few who showed up and paid at the pier.
A good time was had by all, cant wait for the next one...
