Friday nights fabulously come alive at Aquatic Club, the event appropriately called, "Fab Fridayz", hosted by Delroy, Lester and Kenton of Mpire Entertainment. This event was conveniently named "Stagerrrrr" (as you will find out who was performing). Normally, this is one of the weekend ‘go-to’ events in St. Vincent, but of course for Carnival, patronage was more than usual. The ladies came out to celebrate dressing to the nines and the fellows were not far behind.

The layout of the venue was somewhat unique with an ante room that served as a reception area for patrons to lounge in and enjoy a quick drink. A small passageway ushered partygoers to the back of the club where all the action was. Here lay the main bar, the pumping dance floor and the stage which was to hold the eagerly anticipated live performances that were soon to come.

There was such an overflow of attendees that it became ridiculously hot and we probably spent almost half the night liming outside cooling off. Wait... there's goes Kevin Lyttle, who was celebrating his wedding weekend back in his home isle. Congrats Kevin!

The DJs played the sweet vibes of Soca & Dancehall, proving to be a good introduction to the performances to come. Problem Child was the first to step on stage and perform one of his hit songs and then quickly realized that he had a problem, the crowd was at a standstill. In a wise attempt to rescue his set he pulled other guest artiste Tallpree onto the stage to performe their 2011 hit single, “Ah Tink Ah Drunk” which got the crowd moving. Their performance was great, full of energy ... even I had to stagerrrrrrrr! It was the first time I personally heard the song, and I love it. Tallpree then took the Aquatic crowd down a Spicemas memory lane with classics such as "The Grave, the Jail, the Hospital" and "Old Woman Alone" which eventually got more than just the small section in front of the stage going.

We left Aquatic after 3AM, with the dance still pumping. Iwer George will be passing thru on Tuesday July 5th, and the Fab Fridayz action will continue through out July. Be sure to check it out ... Watch this space.
