Since 1985 St. Vincent and the Grenadines have been holding, as said on record as, “The most prestigious beauty pageant in the Caribbean.” On Saturday July 2nd Miss Iantavian Queely representing St. Kitts and Nevis was crowned “2011 Miss Carival Caribbean Queen” at Victoria Park in Kingstown.
Miss Queeley impressed the judges and the crowd taking not only the crown, but winning four segments - Miss Photogenic, Best Evening Wear, Best Talent, and Best Swimwear edging out the host country’s beauty, Aviar Charles.
To witness the 10 ladies present themselves to the audience and judges were quite intriguing. It was the first time I have been an on-looker to the Miss Carival Caribbean Queen Show and it gave me better perspective on what poise and ability these ladies must have in order to gain the title. I watched on as they strutted in their swimwear, showed their unique talent and walked picturesque on stage in their evening wear. It showed how much effort they all had put into preparing for the competition, especially when it came to representing their own country.
Noticeably there were some contestants that outshined others, but it was somewhat obvious who was going to win. Miss St. Kitts & Nevis is not only beautiful, but she held her own on stage. I believe that for Ms. Carival 2011 the judges chose correctly, and I am sure it was almost a unanimous vote.

2011 Miss Carival: Ms. Iantavian Queely of St. Kitts-Nevis
1st Runner-up: Ms. Aviar Charles of St. Vincent & the Grenadines
2nd Runner-up: Ms. Shellya Rogers of Anguilla
Best Swimwear: Ms. Iantavian Queeley of St.Kitts-Nevis
Best Talent: Ms. Iantavian Queely of St.Kitts-Nevis
Best Evening Wear: Ms.Iantavian Queely of St.Kitts-Nevis
Best Interview: Ms. Shellya Rogers of Anguilla

Miss Congeniality: Ms. Brittney Worrell of Barbados
