Following the lead of the undeterred people of St. Kitts, the Soca Awards Organization (SAO) will not be hindered by Hurricane Omar, the show must go on! Through thunder, lightning and a category one hurricane, the Soca Awards Organization has decided to proceed with all activities surrounding the 6th Annual International Award Show.

The White Out Divas Night party at Oasis is still set for this Friday evening starting at 9 pm; the official after party will still be held at Club Kactus on Saturday night immediately following the award show ceremony. The award show is still set for this upcoming Saturday with the green carpet starting at 5 pm – due to the inclement weather and flooding leading to the Dome, the show will no longer be held at the Marriott Event Center Dome, the show will occur at the Marriott Ballroom instead.

Artists and international DJs are already on the island and plans are currently in-place to ensure all other performers, nominees and honorees arrive within the next 48 hours. "We have invested a lot into this 6th anniversary and with the assistance of the wonderful people on this island, the activities this weekend will go on", says Colin Jackman, Soca Awards CEO.

The Soca Awards Organization will contribute $10 from each ticket sale to the Friday night event at Oasis to the island of St. Kitts to aide in the clean-up process.

Special thanks to Senator Richard Skerritt and his team at the Tourism office, the Marriott staff and all the local media houses on the island of St. Kitts. We'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all of the iSA 6 nominees, honorees, performers and attendees for braving the conditions to still be a part of this event. Finally, thanks to the people of St. Kitts for your support and for welcoming us with open arms, we see that you are moving forward to overcome all that has happened on the island and we commend your strength, thanks again for everything.
