Wednesday on the rooftop has, deservedly so, become one of the must attend events for anyone, (newbee or veteran) wishing to have a complete  Toronto Carnival experience. This year the venue was moved to the Rooftop of the Mansion nightclub in keeping with the growing status of this event. The new venue, whilst aesthetically pleasing had one minor drawback. The roof was tented in anticipation of inclement weather, which made the packed rooftop a little warm.

That being said it was practical to be cautious as it would have been difficult to tent the area had the come down in the middle of a HOT Soca session.
There was another reason for the increased heat experienced by patrons.....actually two reasons.......D' BANDIT and JESTER. The duo were relentless with their mixes... so much so that the ""soca purists"" (those who believe that ONLY SOCA should be played at carnival events) had no complaints and simply went with the vibe that the music and mixes commanded......sorry......DEMANDED.

This feat is crucial to the development and appreciation of culture....not Trinidad culture or Jamaicin Culture......but WEST INDIAN culture. FULL Marks to D'BANDIT JESTER and JW BLAISE for the successful and continued growth of this event. If you missed this years event......run out ....(don't walk)  get a 2012 calendar and from now until JULY 2012 monitor the JUNGLEJUICE website and contact JW BLAISE for the heads for this event.

Both the  promoter and the staff at the MANSION NIGHTCLUB acquitted themselves with excellence on this and most events undertaken and as such you are almost guranteed a quality event.
