Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. September 13, 2011
- Trinidad and Tobago’s culture and splendor must be celebrated. So say organisers of this year’s Saute´ Trinbago experience.

Already, the buzz surrounding the event is high and many agree that Saute´ Trinbago 2011 is just what’s needed to showcase to the world, the sweetness that lies within an island that is rich and diverse in more ways than one.

Cloud Nine Promotions’ Shaun Aleong, who for the past two years has ensured a successful staging of the cultural extravaganza, is once again assuring that entertainment will be on par with the tastes of the island. Added to savoury local delights, Aleong and his team of event specialists have hired several local acts whose names are synonymous with T&T’s art and culture. Shelly Ann Hee Chung of LinkMe Limited who is the Public Relation’s and Media specialist charged with handling this year’s event, said among the artistes set to hit the stage at the Queen’s Park Savannah on September 25, are Machel Montano, Destra Garcia, Benji, Bunji Garlin, Rikki Jai, Mungal Patasar among others. The excitement behind the scenes as preparation kicks into high gear is unmistakably high. Sponsors and financial stakeholders in this year’s event have come on board with little to no hesitation, this after having observed the overwhelming support and praise received in previous years.

With an effort to highlight the positive attributes of T&T, which celebrates 35 years of being a Republic just one day prior to the event, organisers say patrons can expect a truly memorable cultural showcase. “It will be unlike anything many have ever seen or experienced. We are going above and beyond to make Saute´ 2011, worth attending,” said Hee Chung.

Bmobile, Caribbean Airlines, Hilton Trinidad, Heineken, Blue Waters, Chivas, Lucozade, Angostura Cocktails and Flavourite among other top brands, have signed on, pledging their support to the endeavour.

The Sauté experience begins at 2pm and is scheduled to end at 9pm. “The timing is great. It will allow patrons to arrive early and enjoy the delightful array of food, the ambience and not to mention the slate of top Trinbagonian entertainment acts,” highlighted Hee Chung, who added that Saute´ Trinbago 2011 is something that everyone, including visitors, can come out to and truly become engrossed in.

In the past two years the event has set a precedence for being a truly all-encompassing delivery of T&T’s cultural splendours and while it started off as a showcase of Trinbago’s tastes, the event has come full circle, delivering to patrons much more than they expect each year. “This is about us as a people of varying backgrounds. This is where we’ll all stand proud as Trini’s to show the world that we’re a united people who love our country. This is where we all have to be on September 25- Saute´Trinbago,” said Hee Chung.

With tickets already available at a number of locations including B Mobile flagship stores nationwide, Woodford Café Port-of-Spain and Chaguanas and from committee members, anyone still left with questions are invited to call the Saute´ Trinbago hotline at 74- SAUTE´ (747-2883). “There’ll also be a lot of opportunities for people to win tickets on Ebony 104FM and Heartbeat 103. 5FM, as the day draws closer,” said a very anxious and optimistic Hee Chung.
