Monday. Tuesday. Pree day! The most anticipated day of the week, bringing us straight into the bacchanal and insanity of a Greenz Carnival. All gettonaz from town and country made sure they were in the National Stadium as Tallpree and friends celebrated his 20th year in the business, as well as his belated birthday!

A bash that no one would ever forget! Tallpree mash up the stage with tunes from way back when, sending d jab jab posse in a frenzy. D Jab Jab King has been representing our island to the fullest as one of Grenada's very few, most successful, international soca artist. He performed "Trees", "Wicked Jab", "the Church, the Jail and the Hospital", and his new carnival tune "Jab All Ova". A tune that was bound to mash up any street, tunnel, bridge, club, stage, or house for the carnival. Tallpree brought out some of his friends in the industry to join him on stage including, Greenz very own rising star and Tallpree's proteje, Shortpree. Another friend that was highly anticipated was Trinidad's Soca Monarch king Machel Montano!

Machel is no stranger to the Spice Island, so it was only evident that Grenadians would not miss out on the spectacular show that would turn the stadium inside out. He put on an extraordinary show for nearly 2 hrs!, filled with pyros and segments that had attendees standing on their tippy toes, especially when his dancer Brittany shell down the place with her crazy whinnin skills. A routine that has you in amazement, no matter how many times you see it. The HD family, Farmer Nappy, Zan, Patrice Roberts and Benjai were amongst the performers lined up for the HD set and the crowd was very receptive.

Grenada's own Mr. Killa tore up the stage, callin for all ""Gettonaz"" and sendin out d ""Warning"", two tunes that mashed up the Carnival, as well. Inspector came threw and did his thing, along with Vincy soca artist Lucian. A lot of other special guest were supposed to take part in the show, including Iwer George, but the Liat strike did not permit. Boooo! Despite the Liat fiasco, the show was still loaded with excitement and still felt like nothing was missing.

Vybez International was the perfect emcee for the show, keeping everyone at high energy straight threw. Never seen a magga man with so much energy! Much love to Vybez. The stadium was rammed pack and everyone seemed to be having a great time. There were a few accidents in the crowd that put the show on quick halt, but the rain was not one of them. Jab jab, locals, reptiles, foreigners, and vagrants were all in attendance, and the show just sell off in the best way possible. Definitely a highlight of Grenada Spicemas!
