Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. January 13, 2012 -- More space. That’s the emphasis being placed on one of the capital city’s biggest carnival fetes taking place once again in 2012. Licensing Fete is one of the main fetes in Carnival each year; in fact, it’s a staple to the season so as plans are executed for the staging of the big show on Saturday, January 28th, organisers are guaranteeing more space to the advantage of all in attendance. “ No longer will patrons have to worry about getting into the venue. Everyone can come out and we’re not over-selling tickets so we’re advising everyone to get their tickets early,” said a spokesperson for Tri-Star Promotions.

Continuing with their effort to promote Caribbean harmony within T&T’s national festival, the award winning promotional outfit has included new dancehall sensation Popcaan to the cast of over 20 big soca superstars which includes, Bunji Garlin, Fay Ann Lyons and Asylum, Shurwayne Winchester and Y.O.U., Nadia Batson and SASS, Kes the Band, Roy Cape and the All Stars, Iwer George, Swappi, Super Jigga TC, Kerwin Du Bois and a number of up and coming artistes who’ve proven their worth in 2012.

Licensing Fete will feature two zones- the General Admission and VIP zones, which according to organisers will both be spacious as to encourage patrons to truly enjoy the experience without discomfort. In 2012, Shurwayne Winchester and Y.O.U. join the cast of soca champions at Licensing. The former Road March and Power Soca monarch champion is ready to hit the stage as not only does he have some of the best soca anthems for the season, but with a stage show that everyone agrees is always high-energy, Winchester is undoubtedly coming to Licensing Fete to cause a stir.

General admission tickets have been reasonably priced at $150 to start, and security according to the promotional outfit will not be spared this year. “We’re doing all that is necessary to make sure patrons from all walks of life feel comfortable coming to this event. We promote safety at all times and our aim is to continue bringing people out to staple fetes like these,” said the event organiser.

Licensing fete has received the support of brands like Mackerson Stout, Blue Waters, Monster Energy drink and Pepsi this year, and with their kind sponsorship the event is carded to be one of the best in the C2K12 season.
