Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. March 13, 2012 -- Organisers of what is likely to be the biggest love concert to hit Trinidad and Tobago in the a past decade are saying, the April 28 event being staged at the spacious Queen’s Park Savannah which is being dubbed the Main Concourse, will be just what the country needs at this time. Coined, ‘Men of Soul And a Master’ – the five star concert event will feature the likes of 80’s and 90’s love balladeers, Freddie Jackson, Peabo Bryson, Jeffery Osborne and James Ingram. The show is aimed at encouraging the people of T&T to feel love, show love and represent love, according to organisers and with this atop their agenda, the production team is moving full speed ahead to ensure patrons of an amazing show on April 28.

The Men of Soul concert holds a distinguished trademark internationally, having toured the US and touched down in states like Pennsylvania, Virginia, Texas, Florida and Washington DC to name a few. Reviews for each show have been exceptional over the years with patrons admitting that the soul vocalists never cease to thrill, offering their hits from years gone by in tones that prove they have maintained their vocal skill despite time’s passing. Following the Men of Soul concert in St. Petersburg, Florida last year, one patron posted, “This was by far the best concert I have ever had the privilege to attend. I was completely amazed by the ability of these three giants of soul music to still sing and sound as they did in their prime years.”

For the T&T leg of the tour, a master of soul has been added to the cast. Together with Peabo Bryson, Freddie Jackson and Jeffery Osborne, promoters of the event have invited the legendary soul artiste, James Ingram. With hits like Always, Never Felt So Good, It’s Real and Somewhere Out There, which he recorded with singer, Linda Ronstadt in 1987, Ingram has proven that he is indeed a master of the craft, copping Grammy awards and maintaining his celebrity as one of the most popular US artistes of this day. On their arrival in T&T it is expected that music lovers from across the length and breadth of the island, inclusive of the sister isle, Tobago, will swarm ticket outlets in a bid to catch an up close and personal moment with these love ambassadors. “ Concerts of this caliber don’t come very often so when they do, everyone should be a part of it. This is a once in a lifetime kind of show, where Trinbagonians will feel the true sensuality of real love songs, love songs that have changed people’s lives across the world, love songs that hold real merit,” said one organiser.

Tickets for the show are on sale already and the buzz surrounding Men of Soul and A Master is growing daily as persons grasp an understanding of the show’s magnitude. The artistes being brought to T&T on April 28 have paved the way for many of today’s R&B hit-makers and proof of this will come when they grace the stage at the Main Concourse on show night. Organisers are encouraging patrons to visit the advertised outlets early to get their tickets, as the venue will not be over sold. “We know that a lot of people have been waiting for a show like this in T&T. Some people have traveled and gone to concerts overseas, but there’s nothing like experiencing a show like this at home, surrounded by your people- people you can shriek out in joy with, all the while sharing a moment you’d each forever remember,” said the organiser.
