Vice; according to the oxford dictionary means ‘an evil or bad habit or a bad fault.’ However in street language regionally, persons refer to ‘vice’ as a habit that one tries to keep under control. For different people there are different types: some crave chocolate, coca cola, shopping, strawberries and sweet treats while on the other hand persons submit to alcohol drinking and smoking, obviously the latter is not acceptable since the health risks are detrimental. A vice is not necessarily something bad but rather something that people want to stay away from to enhance their own personal gain like keeping weight gained under control. Everyone has a vice and according to The President of Abstract Magazine, Mr. Anthony Gomez “persons give into their vice most frequently during the period of November to January”. People splurge on food even though they have great expectations of wearing a skimpy costume in a few months for carnival. One night of indulgence will not get you out of shape, one night will satisfy cravings for a long period; for one night you can release your inhibitions and embrace your Vice; those acceptable by society off course are encouraged. The key is limiting your habit!

Abstract Magazine got its concept of “Vice” from the readers of Abstract Magazine who usually mail and email messages confessing about their inability to keep their vices under control. “Vice” is a theme concept for the fashion party where the Abstract models will be “rocking the runway” according to Anthony. Vice will be added to the list of annual events which Abstract is famous for hosting like “White Angels”. It’s a celebration party done by Abstract to award readers, advertisers and well wishers of Abstract Magazine.

The event is carded to take place at Pier 1 on November 9th 2008.
