Mental Maintenance the worldwide release from reggae/dancehall artiste Konshens has sailed to the top of the Japan ITunes reggae album chart.

The 17 track disc which is distributed by VP Records, has already hit the top of Germany’s ITunes reggae album chart. It also ranked inside the top ten of the ITunes charts in Switzerland, the Netherlands and New Zealand.

In a release to the media, Konshens highlighted the positive feedback and the promotions surrounding the album.

“The feedback to the album has been great. We did a feature in Riddim magazine and we just got back from New York where we did a few album release parties which went well. The album is doing well on ITunes even before the physical CD was made available”, said Konshens.

Mental Maintenance features collaborations with Sizzla, Bounty Killer, Tarrus Riley and rising newcomer Darrio.

Tracks include Realest Remix, World Citizen, Represent, Simple Song, Rasta Imposter Remix; She’s Happy, Do Sumn, Bounce and Last Drink.

Konshens is currently riding the music charts in Jamaica and in key reggae markets with the songs Do Sumn (produced by Ward 21 for Mi-Sick Music) and Gal a Bubble (Subkonshus Music).

His current releases include Stop Sign (Subkonshus Music) and Money Up (12 to 12). Both Stop Sign and Gal a Bubble were co produced by Konshens and newcomer Markhize who built the rhythms for both tracks.

‘The clothing line is available on the market as test run. It basically comprises sexy tees and tank tops for the ladies. It’s available in stores such as Shimmer, Fashion 911 and Honey Fashions”, Konshens explained.

Konshens will next month head overseas for a series of performances including the United States and the Caribbean.
