But wait, why does this look so familiar? Lovely ladies in colorful costumes, dancing to the selections of soca for the 2012...masses of people having a great time. Its Carnival all over again!!! Or that's how it felt at this event. The people of Tribe had a treat for all people who were suffering of "Carnival Tabanca." Time for you all to lace back up your boots, dust off your head pieces and come out to Tribe Last Lap. Here's the review!

As I entered the Pier 1 venue, number of cars and patrons outside had me a little worried of the turnout. I mean, this is a Tribe event, so I was expecting to cars parked on top of each other and people literally begging to get inside. I kept hoping that the inside would not have been as scarce as outside, and believe me, I was undoubtedly not disappointed. In the words of Rupee ""Waaay!! Look at people!!"" A patron then explained to me that the parking was in Pier 2's car park and on wards so that's why in front of Pier 1 was so clear.

Besides having a mass of people present, patrons also brought back out their wonderful costumes. Now even though it was Tribe event, there were also people dressed in their costumes from other bands such as Fantasy, Yuma, Island People and many more. It was all one love at the end of the day...or night. Music pumping like it was carnival Monday and Tuesday all over again, and wait...there's more. The crowd was treated to live performances by Farmer Nappy, Shal Marshall and Supa Jigga TC, Benjai, and arriving on his yacht from a down the islands video shoot, the Groovy and Power Monarch; Machel Montano. On his arrival, the crowd went into a frenzy.

Well this had to be the most innovative part of it all. Now because Tribe weren't able to pass the coveted stage on carnival Tuesday disallowing them to display their beautiful costume that they worked so hard for to pay for, a mini stage was built in the party so that everyone, especially Tribe masqueraders could experience that feeling once again.

Tribe Last Lap has officially become one of the most anticipated event to attend after Carnival. I forgot to mention that it was also a charitable event, so we were wining and enjoying ourselves for a good cause. Hats off to all Tribe committee members and staff for another successful event. The Jokey One was pleased, impressed....and exhausted afterwards
