Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. April 24, 2012 -- Orlando Octave left T&T bound for Kingston, Jamaica on Wednesday ( April 25) where he was set to collaborate with dancehall artiste, Konshens at the studio of fellow Jamaican entertainer DeMarco. Octave said he was also hoping to do some work with Jamaica’s young dancehall sensation, Popcaan while there. Amid this latest development the T&T entertainer is again making waves as he promotes the upcoming launch of his Play Wit It condom line for a second time in recent weeks. The eventuality stems from an unexpected glitch in planning and logistical issues encountered during preparations for the initial launch on April 12. Not one to be deterred by obstacles however, the Rio Claro native who is excitedly and ambitiously making massive strides on the global music circuit, is readying himself for the official media launch on May 2- an event touted as a ‘must attend’ among entertainment professionals.

Orlando’s fans have been holding on to every word he posts on social networking site Twitter, this as he informs of his plans to unleash a number of musical singles in the coming weeks. Together with the condom launch next week, Octave is hitting hard with branding initiatives all aimed at bettering his chances as he makes inroads into the music industry overseas. The Play Wit It condom line has been all the rave among young followers of the artiste and entertainment professionals just the same. Many agree that Octave’s foray into this new territory is what more young Caribbean artistes should do to capture diverse audiences. Millionaires Records CEO, Richard Hope who has been working tirelessly to ensure the Orlando Octave brand is a recognizable one in the weeks and months to come, said many on the international circuit are agreeing that Octave is extremely marketable. His music alone is catchy and it is believed that together with strong branding elements and other strategic movements, this young sensation will make that much yearned for breakthrough for Trinidad and Tobago.

In recent days, news broke that Orlando had been selected as the newest addition to the list of names being represented by Times Square, New York based Central Entertainment Group (CEG)- a talent agency known for its representation of some of the most recognizable faces in music, film and television. On the company’s website www.cegtalent.com, Octave’s face is plastered beneath the Hip Hop/R&B listing alongside the likes of The Ying Yang Twins, Mya, Pete Rock, Bow Wow and Syles P. He’s the newest addition to the company’s talent roster and Hope says the financial deal is a really strong one that will see Octave represented by CEG for three years. “Orlando is opening doors for Trinidad and soon the world will be looking at us,” said Hope who is also Trinbagonian. He divulged that Octave will be doing some touring soon but wouldn’t go much further, explaining that things were still in the planning stage. He however said the people of T&T should be very excited about the prospects that lie in wait for Orlando, adding, “ This is huge! Orlando will lead the way.”

The young artiste will also officially unveil his website at the condom launch next week. Hope said the site would be yet another marketing tool to be used in tandem with social media and other marketing strategies in the team’s effort to get Orlando seen, heard and appreciated, worldwide.
