Once again the carnival week started off with the the annual masquerade fete.  This time the venue changed from the rooftop to the ever elegant Tiki Beach on West Bay Road. This move gets the TJJ nod of approval as the ambience was just right - venue was spacious, atmosphere relaxed and just for good measure the organizers dialed in for perfect weather and a cooling caribbean breeze.

This year's tix were $75 - a $25 increase over last year -  but included yummy goodness with complimentary wine and champagne and valet parking AND this is even before a two set energetic performance by the ever so loved Oscar B. What can we say? Caymanians looooove the dentist!! Or was that the 2 sapodilla and a nine inch somn *mischevious look*?  Soca Queen herself Allison Hinds was also present as well as Andy 'Blood' Armstrong and many got photo ops including moi. hmmm.... I wonder if he came here looking for that kitty cat that got away boy?

The patrons for the night certainly seemed to have enjoyed themselves especially local personality Sheena Hurlston who showed the crowd how the wuk up should be done. BRAVO lady! BRAVO!

And so... the commess start!
