No flyers printed....no online ads taken out....radio ads taken etc etc....but they party have 1500+ people in it...Wow! How is this possible? Well if you multiply the square root of beautiful women who attended last year by pie times 3, you add 1000 coolers and take away all the non alcoholic drinks, then include a blow up pool with stag, shandy and green sands, everyone knows you will end up with 1500+ strong in any party! Duh! Oh...and you must have at least three best DJs in de house...then who needs flyers? Well well people...and for the 8th time...the Demolition crew put on one of the best fetes leading into the Atlanta Carnival celebrations...With the Caribbean diaspora growing in Atlanta, the Cooler Fete managed to attract ah whole heap of them. And with that...comes some of the most beautiful women from the Caribbean...who by the way not shame at all to walk into a party dragging their coolers behind them....or for the real classy ones...had ah strong man dragging it for them....but doh matter how they got there...they just got there! and they came in their numbers. Within the crow of people...the rhythm section were in full swing, de doubles man as usual had a line by him while he was selling and beating his tassa drum at the same time, and we even see Jillian from wear white somewhere in de mix. But needless to say, the place was ram!
The location of the event was...ok....a bit of a throw off was the block road sign...but everyone eventually found the place. Plenty parking is always a good thing so this was a plus....but...it was an open truck yard with lots of room. Being in the open, no complaints were heard about the heat. The layout was good. The DJ booth and food areas were to the left of the entrance and the bar....well...was at your feet...literally...in yuh own cooler. Or in my case...in someone else' cooler!! The decor was ok...as the Demolition Crew did there best to include a water slide...just kidding on the water slide...it was a fountain....actually it was a...ammm...well just water coming out of a drum! But the coolers over the entrance was ah bess idea. We liked that!

Well...this is easy...since every one had the opportunity to bring their own drinks via freezer, fridge, cooler, blow up pool, napsack, water bottle or however...you done know is only top shelf stuff dey bringing!!! As for the food, doubles man...again...dem doubles rel lash!!! And moms and the Marlies Kitchen Crew...wow...roti, alloo pie, jerk chicken...de full works....was nice!

For the record, I am making a prediction...the Cooler fete will go on for years...especially if they find the right formula to keep the session going past 3am! But TJJ will help them do it. We had a great time at this event. Demolition Crew...well done guys! Well Done! To the MaddFlava posse....wham now! And Stacy...take it easy with that winer waist yuh have there. And if fellas still keep on trying to wine all over yuh...beat dem off wit yuh cane!
