Just JAB All Ova ol oil and liquor, mud, paint, and powder! The real jab jab posse came out to Camboulay bright and early this morning to play a wicked jab and behave bad. Pulse 48 Yard is where all crews came together for the ultimate jouvert experience in Brooklyn!

Canboulay originated from the French roots of the Caribbean, leading up to Carnival festivities, in celebration of the harvest festival with drums, singing, dancing and calypso music. Gorgelicious Promotions and Hyper Active Entertainment brought the Canboulay vibes to Brooklyn, where hot foot partygoers could keep the vibes going well into the next afternoon.

We are months away from the parkway but people were surely ready for the Carnival, and a very HOT summer. No one came to mas and was fraid d powder. Everyone was covered from head to toe in all colors, mud and paint alike. Camboulay was definitely a success with the amount of people who came out to jouvert, but I am pretty sure that a majority of them were indeed Grenadians! The amount of the Grenadian flag in one place. . . .MERCY! The Greenz crew could hear a jab jab beat from a mile away, Jouvert always callin we name! ;)

It wasn't a cooler fete but it was a bring your own bottle kinda fete. Food was on sale for those who had to recharge their battery, and prolong their bad behavior. Music was on point, and set the mood for the jab jab scene. DJ's played tunes from a 40 foot long truck, which killed the feeling of being in an enclosed space. Although the truck never moved one inch, it felt like mas on d road. The live rhythm section also added extra flavor to the vibe.

The sun was blazing hot, and we didn't get a drop of the expected rain. . . .Amen!

Canboulay thank you for encouraging me to book my ticket to Spicemas 2k12! Yuh Mad Ah What! .... Can't Miss!
